The Social Action Office of the Catholic Church of Montreal collaborates with local Catholic churches,
community consultation tables, advocacy committees and community organizations to assist the most
disadvantaged members of our society.

Five social pastoral agents of the Catholic Church of Montreal
in partnership with other actors on the ground, are actively involved
in social initiatives across six neighborhoods in Montreal:

Laval West

Ahuntsic

Hochelaga-Maisonneuve
Rosemont
South Central

Côte-des-Neiges

Halte-Chaleur (NDG)

Many of the homeless have faced unfortunate circumstances in life and struggle with mental health
issues or addiction that hinder their ability to function normally. We are here to remind them that
they matter just as much as anyone else in the eyes of God. Sometimes, they ask for blessings or a
Bible, and they are always very grateful for whatever we can provide.
