Notre-Dame de la rue
The mission of the Catholic Church of Montreal
is not only to proclaim the Word of God, it
serves as a true center of solidarity, assisting the
most vulnerable members of our society.
Through Notre-Dame de la rue, the Catholic
Church of Montreal provides spiritual presence
and support to those experiencing
homelessness. Various services, including
listening sessions, spiritual counseling, Mass
celebrations, and sacramental confessions, are
offered in the streets.
Four weekly meal distribution
services are provided
• Community soup kitchen during the winter
• Food bags
• Chicken meals from the restaurant Au Coq
• Sandwiches and beverages
Clothing distribution
Funeral Mass
In September 2023, we celebrated the 22nd
funeral Mass for homeless individuals who Father Claude Paradis (blue hat and glasses) during
